DESCRIPTION:Andover Twenty1 is proud to welcome Victoria Ralfs, educational inclusion specialist, to share what works in primary schools to enable children with Down’s Syndrome to be socially immersed, independent and ready for secondary school.\nVictoria’s presentation will explore the successful model used in schools supported by the Portsmouth Down’s Syndrome Association which considers the importance of differentiation, adults support, social inclusion and relationship & sex education (RSE). Expect lots of practical real life examples to guide you on implementation.\nWe are equally proud to welcome Ben Tyler and his mother Jo. Ben participated in a full mainstream education, primary and secondary, and has gone on to win medals for Tennis in the Abu Dhabi Special Olympics.\nThis event is designed for primary and secondary schools who currently have pupils, or are expecting pupil/s, with Down’s Syndrome as well Hampshire County Council SEN department members. It is free to attend.\n \n
