Andover Carnival 2024!

We had an amazing time at the Andover Carnival this year. We didn’t participate in the procession, instead we focused on our gazebo in Vigo Park. The carnival took place on the 21st of July with activities between 12pm and 6.00pm. The fairground and entertainment continued into the night!

We offered a free art and craft activity for everyone in the park, a large scale pixel art paint by numbers. Ten 1m x 1m panels were pre-prepared with a mystery picture designed by Joel, a friend of the charity. The theme chosen this year was Circus! When the park opened, visitors were invited to lucky dip a colour to paint and set loose on the panels.

The activity was extremely popular and the A21 volunteers were kept busy all day by the crowds. Massive thank you to Anna, Alice and Jenny for manning the stall throughout the day and thank you to Trevor for helping set everything up and packing it up at the end!

Here are the finished pieces! A clown and a full circus scene. All 10 panels were finished by 3.30pm, everyone really enjoyed the activity with multiple families coming back throughout the day to see the progress and have another go! Thank you to the carnival committee for putting together another fabulous event and we’ll definitely see you again next year!
